Asia Television's (HKG:0707) board has invited Liu, former chairman of the company, to clarify his position regarding certain allegations of infringement and unauthorized appointments that led to him being fired in August 2024, a Friday bourse filing said.
Liu has denied all allegations related to the unapproved appointments, according to the broadcasting company.
He has also responded to the infringement allegations by stating certain content taken from the firm's website and broadcasted on the online apps of an entity owned by Liu was properly authorized.
Liu claims he was not provided a chance to offer his explanation regarding the matter. The company will allow Liu to provide his side of the story, while also presenting him with its evidence for comment.
The firm intends to resolve the matter on or before the end of April.
