Dine Brands Global said that Tony Moralejo would step down as president of the Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar restaurant chain next month and that Chief Executive John Peyton would take on the additional duties on an interim basis.

Moralejo, who has been the role for two years, would relinquish the role on March 4 and is expected to continue as an advisor through June 4.

Dine Brands, which also owns IHOP and Fuzzy's Taco Shop restaurants, has launched a search for a new leader for Applebee's. Peyton, who joined Dine Brands in 2021, has a track record in operations, development and franchisee relations.
