NZX Midday Sector Update: Energy Minerals Soar, Consumer Durables Struggles

Energy minerals stocks gained the most on the New Zealand exchange, rising 2% at midday Friday helped by Channel Infrastructure's raised asset valuation.

Channel Infrastructure (NZE:CHI) rose past 1% to reach its highest price since November 2019 as it expects a NZ$375 million uplift in asset valuation.

On the other hand, consumer durables shares dropped over 1%.

KMD Brands (NZE:KMD) fell past 1% in recent trade in New Zealand.
