Medallion Metals Advances Permit for Western Australia Gold Project, Shares Fall 4%

Medallion Metals (ASX:MM8) said its application for its Ravensthorpe gold project in Western Australia advanced to the assessment of preliminary documentation stage, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

The Australian Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is reviewing the application under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act, the filing said.

The additional data requested for the assessment to proceed is expected to be available in March, with a decision expected in the September quarter.

The firm's shares fell 4% in recent trading on Friday.
