Australian Rare Earths (ASX:AR3) started its 2025 drilling program at the Overland project in South Australia, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
The program will map the newly defined paleovalley further south within exploration license 7001, and then target the western margin of the paleovalley, where previous drilling identified "significant" potential for uranium mineralization, the filing said.
Additionally, the company received ministerial consent to acquire a 100% interest in the sedimentary-hosted uranium rights of exploration license 6678, adding roughly 1,000 square kilometers of potential tenure to the project, per the filing.
Shares rose nearly 5% in afternoon trade Friday.
