Regional airlines have questioned why the federal government has refused to meet with them to discuss their offers of support on key Regional Express routes and has preferred to spend taxpayer dollars on bailing out the failed airline.
The 43 airlines under the Regional Aviation Association of Australia (RAAA) wrote to Transport Minister Catherine King last year requesting a meeting after the airline known as Rex entered administration in July, but have been continually rebuffed.
