美国银行表示，美国总统唐纳德· 特朗普的关税政策虽然在一开始对美元构成了提振，但最终将拖累美元。

　　“美元可能终究不喜欢关税，”该行G-10外汇策略主管Athanasios Vamvakidis周三在报告中表示，“如果美国对世界其他国家加征关税并遭到全面报复，美元可能会走弱。”

　　到目前为止，美国关税提振了这一全球储备货币，这要归功于美元的避险吸引力，因为关税可能会扰乱全球贸易并加剧美国通胀风险。彭博美元指数自9月下旬见底以来上涨约7%。

　　美国银行的Vamvakidis表示，如果特朗普对所有美国进口商品征收 10%或20%的关税，则各国将采取报复措施，这会让美国“更加脆弱”。

　　“最终，所有人都会恶化，但美国更加如此，”他表示，“由于美国的贸易保护增加最多，而其他国家将继续像以前一样相互贸易，甚至可能为了应对美国的关税而减少彼此之间的贸易保护。”

　　他补充道，这将对美国的长期生产力产生负面影响，对美国例外论构成挑战，长期来看将削弱美元。
