Flughafen Wien reported an increase in the number of passengers passing through Vienna airport last month.
The number of travelers at Vienna airport rose 3.4% in January to 1.89 million. Passenger numbers across the whole of the Flughafen Wien group rose 4.8% to 2.44 million, the Austrian airport operator said.
The January increase in passengers at Vienna airport was supported by a 6.1% rise in local passengers taking flights, while transfer passenger traffic fell 7.2%.
The number of Vienna airport take-offs and landings rose 4% on year in January to 15,778, the company said.
Arrivals and departures across the whole of the Flughafen Wien group rose 5.8% to 20,064, the company said.
