记者当地时间19日获悉，达美航空公司发言人格兰特·迈亚特当天在一封电子邮件中表示，达美航空为多伦多皮尔逊国际机场降落时发生机身翻覆事故客机的乘客每人赔偿3万美元，没有附加条件。同时，加拿大运输安全委员会表示，正在将事故客机移出停机坪。此外，事故客机的部分乘客正在考虑采取法律行动。目前已有美国和加拿大的律所介入。
