日本央行副行长内田真一周五表示，尽管近期债券收益率上升，但日本央行将继续缩减政府债券购买规模，并强调该行持有的巨额债券将继续对经济产生强劲刺激作用。内田真一还重申，如果经济和物价发展符合预期，日本央行准备继续提高短期利率。
内田真一在日本国会表示：“日本经济正在温和复苏，尽管存在一些弱点。”他补充说，潜在通胀正逐渐加速向日本央行2%的目标靠拢。
在此之前，日本央行行长植田和男警告称，全球经济前景存在极大的不确定性，部分原因是美国总统特朗普威胁要提高关税。
日本央行在1月份将短期利率从0.25%上调至0.5%，并根据去年7月制定的计划继续缩减债券购买规模。
由于市场预期日本央行将很快再次加息，且借贷成本可能会高于最初的预期，日本政府债券收益率最近上升。
内田真一表示：”“我们对短期政策利率和政府债券操作的立场没有改变。“
内田真一表示：“收益率的变动反映了市场对经济和价格前景以及海外事态发展的看法。”他还表示，日本央行持有的巨额债券“继续对经济施加强大的货币宽松效应”。
当一名反对党议员问及日本央行的缩减计划和进一步加息的前景是否会继续推高债券收益率时，内田真一表示：“这要由市场来决定。”
多数经济学家预计，日本央行今年将再次加息，最有可能在第三季度加息至 0.75%。日本央行将在3月18日至19日举行下一次政策会议。
