NextDecade Outlines Development Plan for Expansion Capacity at Texas Project

NextDecade (NEXT) said Friday it plans to expand capacity at the Rio Grande liquefied natural gas facility site in Texas beyond trains 1 through 5.

The company is developing and preparing to begin the permitting process for train 6 and commencing the development of trains 7 and 8, Chief Executive Matt Schatzman said.

The project's phase 1 includes three liquefaction trains with a total nameplate capacity of about 18 million tons per annum of LNG output, the company said.

Shares of NextDecade were up 3.9% in recent premarket activity.
