Six Flags CFO: Crowded Theme Parks Rake in More Revenue -- Market Talk

1324 ET - Six Flags Entertainment wants its parks to be comfortably crowded, and it is working to increase attendance. Busy days result in longer visits, more spending among guests and higher demand for premium experiences, such as front-of-line passes and cabanas, CFO Brian Witherow says on a call with analysts. The attendance lift the company is targeting could put pressure on admissions per capita, or how many people from the surrounding area visit a given theme park. "We call that a type A problem to have, because with it is going to come a much higher attendance and revenue base, which is the ultimate goal," Witherow says. Six Flags logs 10.7 million visits in 4Q, up 84% from last year. Shares fall 3.2%. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
