智通财经APP获悉，据知情人士透露，Meta Platforms(META.US)计划为其人工智能聊天机器人Meta AI测试付费订阅服务，类似于OpenAI和微软提供的访问其聊天机器人高级版本的服务。知情人士称，测试将于今年第二季度开始，但他们预计这项订阅服务最早要到明年才能获得可观的收入。
Meta首席执行官扎克伯格正寻求加强公司在人工智能领域的竞争中与微软(MSFT.US)支持的OpenAI和谷歌(GGOGL.US)的竞争地位。扎克伯格在1月份表示，该公司计划今年花费650亿美元来扩大其人工智能基础设施。
据本月早些时候报道，Meta还在其Reality Labs部门成立了一个新部门，开发可以协助完成体力任务的人工智能人形机器人。另有消息称，这家社交媒体巨头计划在第二季度推出一款独立的Meta AI应用，加入Facebook和Instagram。
