Pine Technology (HKG:1079) incurred an attributable loss of HK$6.8 million for the six months ended Dec. 31, 2024, compared with an attributable profit of HK$52.5 million in the year-ago period, a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.
Loss per share in the interim period was HK$0.005, whereas the company had made earnings per share of HK$0.04 a year prior.
The computer components and consumer electronics company's revenue rose by 9.8% to HK$140 million in the first fiscal half from HK$127.6 million in the corresponding period of the last fiscal year.
The firm attributed the turnaround from profit to loss mainly to the absence of a gain on the disposal of subsidiaries in the six months. The higher revenue was due to a boost in the sale of other manufacturers' computer components and consumer electronic products and the trading of raw plastic materials.
