EDP-Energias de Portugal shares fell after the company swung to a net loss for the fourth quarter, hit by losses arising from its renewables unit's exit from Colombia.
Shares were down 4.5% at 3.05 euros in European morning trade.
The Portuguese energy company reported a net loss of 282 million euros ($295.7 million) for the fourth quarter compared with a profit of 7 million euros in the year-earlier period. The company said the result reflected losses after majority-owned EDP Renovaveis in December decided not to proceed with investments in wind projects in the La Guajira region in Colombia.
Revenue from energy sales, services and other items rose 5% to 4.15 billion euros.
