TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Attorney General's Office revealed that the state losses due to alleged oil corruption at Pertamina could possibly be greater than the currently reported Rp193.7 trillion.
Harli Siregar, Head of Public Relations of the Attorney General's Office, said that the figure of Rp193.7 trillion is the state losses in 2023 alone, while the tempus or the time frame of the case spans from 2018 to 2023.
"Legally and logically, if the modus operandi is the same, then it can be calculated. Meaning that it is likely to be more [than Rp193.7 trillion]," Harli told the media at the Attorney General's Office in South Jakarta on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
He explained that from the beginning, the Attorney General's Office had already stated that the figure of Rp193.7 trillion is a preliminary estimate of the loss
Furthermore, he highlighted several components within that loss. "For example, whether each component also occurred in 2018, 2019, 2020, and so on up to 2023" he added.
Harli mentioned that this needs to be checked. For example, whether the compensation is applied every year, whether the subsidy value remains consistent per year, and so on.
"Certainly, financial experts will calculate it," he concluded.
Here are the details of the state losses in the crude oil management case:
1. Loss of domestic crude oil exports around Rp35 trillion.
2. Loss of crude oil imports through brokers around Rp2.7 trillion.
3. Loss of fuel oil imports through DMUT/Broker around Rp9 trillion.
4. Compensation losses (2023) around Rp126 trillion.
5. Subsidy losses (2023) around Rp21 trillion.
