智通财经APP获悉，NatWest(NWG.US)发布声明表示，英国政府的持股量降至 5.93%。这将使其持股量落后于贝莱德，后者的持股量为 6.4%。在拯救该银行十六年多之后，英国政府不再是NatWest Group Plc的最大股东。
这是自 2008 年 10 月救助以来，英国首次不再是 NatWest 银行的最大投资者，尽管自去年 3 月以来英国政府就不再被视为该银行的控股股东。
“让银行恢复完全私有化是我们与政府共同的愿望，也符合我们所有利益相关者的利益，”NatWest 在一份声明中表示。“我们欢迎财政部继续取得的进展。”
