智通财经APP获悉，越南企业集团Vingroup周二表示，已与私募股权基金JTA Investment Qatar签署谅解备忘录，探讨向电动汽车制造商VinFast(VFS.US)投资至少10亿美元的可能性。
VinFast母公司Vingroup表示，与卡塔尔投资者的潜在合作还可能扩展到Vingroup旗下的酒店业务Vinpearl。
Vingroup在声明中表示：“根据谅解备忘录，两家公司将进行讨论，确定未来的合作，以追求互利的目标。”
VinFast正在越南推行一项激进且代价高昂的扩张战略，该公司可以依靠这个拥有近1亿人口的不断增长的市场。该公司还希望向海外扩张，但迄今为止一直难以吸引外国买家。
VinFast自2023年起在纳斯达克上市，但此后一直未能找到战略投资者。
根据Vingroup的声明，JTA Investment Qatar创始人兼首席执行官Amir Ali Salemi表示：“此次合作将创造互惠互利的商业机会。”
据悉，总部位于多哈的JTA Investment Qatar成立于2010年，该基金专注于能源、教育、旅游和生活方式方面的投资。去年，该基金与越南公司T&T Group合作，在河内投资13亿美元建造了一座体育中心。
