1019 GMT - Air France-KLM's result for the end of last year is proof the Franco-Dutch carrier has shrugged off the negative effect of the Olympic games in Paris, Barclays analysts say in a research note. That said, political challenges in France and the Netherlands remain, but consensus expectations should rise as the company said it expected a 300 million euro improvement to EBIT this year, the analysts say. They add that Air France-KLM's guidance evokes confidence as the group saw a solid recovery in the last quarter of 2024. Air France's operating profit in the quarter improved by 324 million euros to 302 million euros, while Dutch partner KLM's operating profit improved by 69 million euros to 51 million euros. Shares trade 22% higher to 11.13 euros. (pierre.bertrand@wsj.com)
