1057 GMT - Lufthansa's increased capacity and higher load factor helped the German carrier group achieve revenue which exceeded expectations, Goodbody's Dudley Shanley says. The company increased capacity in the fourth quarter by 5.5% which, when combined with a load factor of 82.2%, helped revenue grow 8% in the quarter, the analyst says in a note. Lufthansa said that it expects to expand the seating capacity of its passenger airlines by around four percent, and that revenue will increase as a result. This leads Goodbody to expect the company to achieve around 2 billion euros in operating profit this year. The company made 1.645 billion in adjusted EBIT last year. Shares trade 7.4% higher 7.72 euros.(pierre.bertrand@wsj.com)
