Telefonica has taken its Peruvian subsidiary's insolvency proceedings to the United States to protect itself from bondholders, financial newspaper El Economista said on Thursday.
Separately, citing industry sources, newspaper El Confidencial reported that the telecom company had tasked Rothschild with selling the unit, and that it was negotiating an agreement with creditors.
