Genesco shares declined 22% following a forecast of light sales during the new fiscal year.

Shares were trading around $25.40. The stock is down 11% over the last year.

The retailer behind brands including Johnston & Murphy and Journeys guided for sales to be flat year over year or up 1% in fiscal 2026, which started Feb. 2.

Adjusted earnings per share are expected to be between $1.30 and $1.70. The metric removes negative impacts from foreign-currency fluctuations and planned store closures.
