Shares of Venture Global sank after the company's fourth-quarter results missed Wall Street views, extending the weeks-long decline they have weathered since their debut less than two months ago.
The stock dropped 29% to a new low of $10.15 in early trading. Shares started trading at $24.05 in January, down from a $25 initial public offering price.
The gas exporter reported before the bell that earnings for the fourth quarter were $871 million, or 33 cents a share, compared with a loss of $50 million, or 2 cents a share, in the year-earlier quarter.
Analysts polled by FactSet had been looking for earnings of 35 cents a share.
Revenue meanwhile declined 6.6% to $1.52 billion, below analyst forecasts for $1.61 billion, according to FactSet.
