Michael Hill International (ASX:MHJ, NZE:MHJ) has appointed Andrew Lowe as interim chief executive officer, effective immediately, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.
Lowe is currently the company's chief financial and supply chain officer.
Director Claudia Batten has also been named deputy chair.
The leadership changes come amid the sudden passing of CEO Daniel Bracken last week.
A search for a permanent CEO is underway.
The jewelry company's shares were down 5% in Australia and were up 1% in New Zealand.
