South Korean mobile network operator LG Uplus (KRX:032640) and LG AI Research have teamed up to develop "human-centric AI" that will focus on ethical use and data security, Pulse News reported Monday.
The two firms recently unveiled their "One Team AI" strategy, which processes data directly on smart devices instead of the cloud. This approach enhances security by preventing data leaks, the report said.
LG Uplus is further refining its AI technology with an on-device small language model powered by a neural processing unit, it said.
