英特尔即将上任的首席执行官陈立武表明，他将维持前任的芯片代工路线，同时，他誓言要从过去的错误中吸取教训。

陈立武3月12日被任命为首席执行官，下午会见幕僚前发函给全体同事，大致说明了他对这家陷入困境的芯片制造商的计划。其中包括：继续努力将英特尔打造成一家顶级代工厂（为外部客户生产芯片的业务）。到目前为止，英特尔为此付出高昂代价，并导致前任首席执行官Pat Gelsinger下台。

他在英特尔网站上发布的信中表示：“我们将努力恢复英特尔作为世界级产品公司的地位，将自己打造成世界级代工厂，并让客户享有前所未有的满意。”“随着我们针对未来重塑英特尔之际，这是当下对我们的要求。”

尽管没有明确信号表明65岁的陈立武带领英特尔走向新的方向，但投资者对陈立武的接棒表示欢迎。该消息公布后，该公司在3月12日盘后交易上涨逾 10%。

英特尔股价2月上涨，外界预计该公司将会被分拆——英特尔可能会将代工业务从其芯片设计部门分离出来。
