Market Chatter: Geely's UK Brand Lotus Cars Names President of Chinese Arm

Lotus Cars, Geely Automobile's (HKG:0175) luxury carmaker in the UK, appointed Qin Peiji as the president of its Chinese arm, Yicai Global reported Wednesday, citing a company announcement.

Qin was the former chief operating officer of Geely's joint venture, Polestar Technology, the report said.

Qin succeeded Mao Jingbo, who was named chief strategy officer, the report said.

Jia Xiaohui, former chief marketing officer of Polestar Tech, has also joined Lotus Cars, the company reportedly said, without disclosing her new role.

Geely's shares slipped 2% in recent trade in Hong Kong.
