【环球网财经综合报道】据路透社报道，电池制造商Northvolt已在瑞典申请破产。Northvolt董事长Tom Johnstone在新闻发布会上表示，做出这个决定并非轻率之举，而是唯一可行的前进道路。公司已寻求一切途径来避免破产，但这仍将使5000个工作岗位面临风险。
这家电动汽车电池制造商曾在11月寻求美国《破产法》第11章的保护，因为其现金储备减少，并且公司正竭力筹集资金以解决位于瑞典北部的旗舰工厂提高产量的问题。美国《破产法》第11章的文件显示，申请破产的Northvolt各实体的债务总额略超过80亿美元。而此次破产是自十多年前汽车制造商萨博汽车（Saab Automobile）破产以来最受瞩目的破产案。
值得一提的是，欧洲汽车行业曾希望Northvolt能减少西方汽车制造商对中国竞争对手的依赖。自2016年成立以来，Northvolt已经获得了超过100亿美元的股权、债务和公共融资，其最大股东包括持有21%股份的大众汽车和持有19%股份的高盛。（南木）
