Lower Demand Is on Cruises' Horizon -- Market Talk

1452 ET - Carnival Cruise Line's quarterly report next week likely won't reflect softening demand, but that doesn't mean low consumer confidence isn't a threat to the business, Deutsche Bank analysts say. Cruises would be among the last to see a demand slowdown dent their earnings because many travelers book trips at least six to nine months in advance, the analysts say. There's also a chance some people would cancel bookings if the economy declines. Deutsche analysts say they reduced their 2026 forecasts for the first time since the post-Covid recovery in travel, expecting some level of demand decline over the next 12 months.
