Rising Iron Ore Price Lifts Iron Miners' Share Prices

The share prices of iron ore mining firms have risen as iron ore prices trend upwards.

Iron ore clocked in $101.44 per tonne on Wednesday, up 0.4% on a daily basis and 0.7% on a weekly basis. Prices in Chinese yuan per tonne were up 0.7% on a daily basis and 0.5% on a weekly basis, as of Thursday.

Fortescue (ASX:FMG) and BHP Group's (ASX:BHP) shares each rose 2% in recent Friday trade, while Rio Tinto Group's (ASX:RIO) shares gained over 1%.
