1241 GMT - Shares in French distillers fall after President Trump said he could impose tariffs on French alcoholic products. The EU said Wednesday it planned 50% tariffs on imports of American whiskey starting April 1. "If this Tariff is not removed immediately, the U.S. will shortly place a 200% Tariff on all WINES, CHAMPAGNES, & ALCOHOLIC PRODUCTS COMING OUT OF FRANCE AND OTHER E.U. REPRESENTED COUNTRIES," Trump said on Truth Social. Shares in Moet & Chandon owner LVMH fell 1.9%, while those in Pernod Ricard and Remy Cointreau dropped by 3.3% and 4.1%, respectively.
