Airbus said it received 118 commitments, including 63 firm orders, for a variety of its multimission helicopters during an industry trade show in the U.S.
The European plane and helicopter maker said it secured more than 74 commitments for the H140 new light twin-engined multimission helicopter, which was unveiled at the Verticon aviation trade show in the U.S. state of Texas.
Airbus said that emergency services in the U.S. and Europe signed orders and letters of intent for the new helicopter.
Meanwhile, New York State Police put in an order for one H160 and three H145 helicopters.
