Mattr May Feel Demand Pinch if Tariff Costs Passed to Customers -- Market Talk

0858 ET - Mattr says it can pass on any tariff costs to customers, but that could affect demand. RBC's Arthur Nagorny says the Canadian materials technology that provides services to the oil and gas pipeline sector is currently USMCA compliant and therefore not subject to any tariffs until the next date of April 2. Mattr says that about 30% of its 2024 revenue was tied to cross-border sales however, and while it thinks it would pass any costs onto customers, it says it will be "keeping a close eye on demand elasticity given our view that some competitors may be better positioned."
