高盛此前发布研报称，OPEC+表示由4月起恢复增产，每月单日增加13万至14万桶。相信油价下跌及库存低于历史平均值，可能会刺激备货活动。该行看好中远海能，认为潜在的原油补货可能成为运费率和股价上行催化剂。此外，中远海能拟于3月26日举行董事会会议批准年度业绩。
长江证券研报指出，未来4年，中远海能将陆续交付38艘LNG船、8艘内贸油轮和危化品船，预计LNG及内贸业务利润将增长55%至43.5亿；外贸油运业务具有显著利润弹性，实际TCE运价每上涨1万美金/天，VLCC年化利润增加约9.89亿，外贸油运弹性向上；周期上行期，二手船价维持高位体现了产业的乐观情绪，重置成本法对公司估值提供坚实支撑。
