1402 GMT - Markets marginally lower their expectations of future Bank of England interest-rate cuts following Thursday's rate decision. The BOE kept its main policy rate unchanged at 4.50% and emphasised the need for a "gradual and careful" approach to reducing rates. Monetary policy will need to remain restrictive for "sufficiently long" until the risks to inflation in the medium term have "dissipated further," the BOE said. Investors price in a total of 48 basis point of BOE rate cuts in 2025, down from 54 basis points priced in prior to the rate decision, LSEG data show. (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
