格隆汇3月21日｜英国工业联合会(CBI)表示，由于4月份税收和工资将增加，英国工厂报告本月出现低迷，但一些公司看到了欧洲国防开支预期上升的提振。CBI未来3个月制造业产出预期差值在2月份攀升至+8的三个月高点后，3月份回落至负值，为-2。首席经济学家本•琼斯表示：“英国制造业的状况仍然低迷。管有一些领域表现强劲，尤其是航空航天和国防领域，但许多公司仍报告称，他们的订单依然疲弱。”CBI的整体工业订单指数从2月份的-28下滑至-29，远低于-13的长期平均水平。出口订单余额从-36升至-29的4个月高点，但仍低于平均水平。
