Northeast Community Bancorp raised its quarterly cash dividend to 20 cents a share from 15 cents.
The White Plains, N.Y. bank said Thursday the increase was approved by the company's board as part of its effort to boost shareholder value. The new payout, equal to 80 cents a year, represents an annual yield of 3.4% based on Wednesday's closing share price of $23.41.
Northeast last increased its dividend in September to 15 cents per share from 10 cents.
The dividend would be paid on May 6 to shareholders of record on April 7.
