Micron Technology (MU) late Thursday reported fiscal Q2 non-GAAP net income of $1.56 per diluted share, up from $0.42 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet, on average, expected $1.43.
Revenue for the quarter ended Feb. 27 was $8.05 billion, compared with $5.82 billion a year earlier.
Analysts expected $7.90 billion.
For Q3, the chipmaker is looking for non-GAAP EPS of $1.47 to $1.67 on $8.60 billion to $9.0 billion of revenue. Analysts are looking for $1.52 and $8.48 billion, respectively.
Micron shares were up nearly 6% in after-hours session.
