CBOT Trends-Wheat down 6-7 cents, corn down 1-2, soy down 2-3

CHICAGO, March 24 (Reuters) - Following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CDT (1330 GMT) on Monday.

WHEAT - Down 6 to 7 cents per bushel

* Wheat futures ticked down as tariff concerns and talks of a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine pressured futures, though low prices may have triggered renewed buying interest in U.S. wheat.

* Talks between Washington and Moscow on the Ukraine conflict, including Black Sea shipping, are bearish as a ceasefire could allow larger Russian and Ukrainian export shipments.

* The U.S. plans to impose sweeping reciprocal tariffs on several trade partners starting April 2, which may include those with Canada and Mexico which were paused.

* Russia's IKAR consultancy has raised its baseline 2025 wheat crop forecast to 82.5 million metric tons from 81.0 million tons previously, it said on Monday.

* CBOT May soft red winter wheat WK25 were last down 7 cents to $5.51-1/4 per bushel. K.C. May hard red winter wheat KWK25 were last down 7-3/4 cents to $5.81 per bushel, and Minneapolis May spring wheat MWEK25 were last down 3-3/4 cents to $6.01-1/4 per bushel.

CORN - Down 1 to 2 cents per bushel

* Corn futures fell, weakened by concerns U.S. import tariffs will reduce demand for U.S. grains.

* Traders are monitoring tariff developments between the U.S. and its leading agricultural trading partners, Canada, Mexico and China.

* Traders are positioning ahead of the U.S. Department of Agriculture grain stocks and prospective plantings reports on March 31.

* CBOT May corn CK25 was last down 2 cents to $4.62-1/4 per bushel.

SOYBEANS - Down 2 to 3 cents per bushel

* Soybeans futures edged down as Chinese buyers shifted purchases to Brazil, which is rapidly harvesting a bumper soy crop.

* U.S.-China tariff tensions have cut soybean exports, with China retaliating by raising duties on U.S. agricultural products.

* Brazilian farmers, who have harvested most of their soybean fields across the nation, are set to produce 165.9 million metric tons in the 2024/25 season, 2.3 million tons less than previously forecast, consultancy AgRural said on Monday.

* CBOT May soybeans SK25 were last down 3-1/4 cents at $10.06-1/2 per bushel.
