Dotz Nano (ASX:DTZ) conducted lab-scale pilot operations of DotzEarth's Direct Air Capture technology, demonstrating enhanced carbon dioxide working capacity with lower desorption temperature and significantly lower energy consumption, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
Continuous adsorption and desorption cycles were executed with no evidence of sorbent degradation and the operations demonstrated the thermal and oxidative stability of the sorbent.
The lab scale pilot was developed in collaboration with Dotz's strategic partner, integrating its high-performing sorbent with its proprietary temperature vacuum swing adsorption capture process design.
It began the design of an outdoor field pilot, which is expected to be operational in the second half, to scale up the technology and demonstrate commercial readiness.
