Jefferies Financial Fiscal Q1 Earnings, Revenue Decline; Quarterly Dividend Unchanged -- Shares Down After Hours

Jefferies Financial (JEF) reported fiscal Q1 earnings late Wednesday of $0.57 per diluted share, compared with $0.66 a year earlier.

Four analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.94.

Net revenue for the quarter ended Feb. 28 was $1.59 billion, compared with $1.74 billion a year earlier.

Three analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.86 billion.

The financial services company also set a quarterly dividend of $0.40 per share, unchanged from the prior quarter and payable May 29 to shareholders of record on May 19.

Jefferies shares were down 6.1% in Wednesday's extended session.
