0913 GMT - British retail can continue its positive momentum this year, Pantheon Macroeconomics' Elliott Jordan-Doak writes in a note to clients. Sales rose 1% in February, according to figures released Friday that overturned fears of a downturn following a rise in January. Consumers look to be spending some of their recent savings, Jordan-Doak says. "We expect retail sales volumes to continue to rise through the rest of 2025 as households wind down their elevated savings levels, supporting future retail sales prints, and as solid real wage growth continues," he says.
