--WH Smith is in final-stage talks with two bidders for its high street store chain and could announce a deal next week, Sky News reports.

--WH Smith--which has 520 stores in U.K. high streets--is in talks with Alteri Investors and Modella Capital, Sky says adding that the process was too close to call.

--WH Smith, which said in January that it was exploring the sale of its high street stores to focus on the travel business, didn't immediately respond when approached for comment by Dow Jones Newswires.
