智通财经APP获悉，根据知情人士看到的一份文件，代理顾问机构股东服务公司(ISS)建议股东在4月17日的年度股东大会上投票赞成英国石油(BP.US)董事会和管理层的连任。
过去五年，英国石油公司的股票表现落后于竞争对手壳牌和埃克森美孚，投资者将其部分归咎于该公司2020年的计划，即在削减石油和天然气产量的同时，专注于发展其可再生能源业务。
在淡化了这一计划后，英国石油在上月的战略调整中加快了向碳氢化合物业务转移的步伐。
两名股东表示，持有英国石油近5%股份的维权股东埃利奥特管理公司(Elliott Management)已经会见了几位英国石油股东，试图就这家石油巨头的更多改革达成共识，这些改革可能包括削减成本和可能的领导层改组。
另一位英国石油维权投资者Follow This呼吁投票反对董事长海尔格•隆德的提议，称他应该让投资者在取消能源转型目标的问题上有发言权，其他关注气候变化的股东也持同样观点。
ISS表示：“虽然一些股东可能希望有机会就公司的气候计划进行重大修改，但在ISS看来，不进行投票的决定并不构成治理的重大失败。”
