Spark NZ's Dividend Set to Be Rebased Under New Policy -- Market Talk

0307 GMT - Spark New Zealand is set to establish a new dividend policy, effective from FY 2026, and Macquarie assesses what that might look like. "We expect this to remain free cash flow based, but to include changes in working capital and growth capex, along with restructuring costs," Macquarie says. This would result in a rebasing of Spark NZ's FY 2026 dividend at NZ$0.15/share, with future earnings growth to allow it to lift the dividend in future, it contends. Macquarie estimates a dividend payout range of 70%-90% of earnings. (david.winning@wsj.com; @dwinningWSJ)
