汇控(00005)行政总裁艾桥智在香港出席汇丰全球投资峰会致辞时称，电商平台将成为未来全球贸易的引擎。他指，目前全球增长最快的20条贸易走廊中，大部分位于亚洲，中国与东盟、印度与东盟等地区的联系日益紧密，预计至2030年，亚洲区域贸易额将增长65%，相当于每年增加4000亿美元。他预计，2035年亚洲和中东双向货物贸易额将倍增至1.9万亿美元，以中国与沙特阿拉伯、印度与阿联酋走廊为主导的双向投资，2035年或增至每年360亿美元。 

他还称，目前全球总销售额20%来自网购，电商彻底改变全球购物、生产、供应、销售、研发、物流、仓储、行销方式，而疫情加速相关进程。他指，从智能手机、电动车到清洁能源技术，更快的创新将提高生产力，从而带来更强劲增长的家庭收入和国内需求。创新推动商业化，令各国和各经济体能更深入地融入全球供应链，从而创造新的贸易和金融网络。
