Adidas Seems to Be on the Right Track Despite Uncertainties -- Market Talk

0900 GMT - Adidas seems to be doing well for now despite rising uncertainties, Stifel analysts Cedric Lecasble and Cedric Norest write in a note. In an environment marked by geopolitical uncertainty and risks on consumer demand, the German sporting-goods company confirmed its guidance issued early March, they say. The group intends to achieve double-digit sales growth for the Adidas brand in North America and China. With Chinese sourcing essentially dedicated to Chinese consumers in a local-to-local approach, Adidas has been on the safe side as tariffs escalated, they say. The main risk for the company remains potential hiccups in consumer demand as inflation looms, the analysts add. Shares are up 3.2% at 223.55 euros. (andrea.figueras@wsj.com)
