KKR (KKR) partner AV Air Finance is set to sign a $200 million aircraft finance deal with Vietnamese carrier VietJet in a meeting next week to be attended by officials of Boeing (BA), Reuters reported Friday, citing an internal schedule.

The March 31 program, signed by VietJet's head, was included in a letter to the Vietnamese government, which is seeking to avoid US tariffs, the report said.

In the schedule, VietJet executives are to sign the deal to obtain financing for aircraft purchases on April 9 at the Vietnamese embassy in Washington, the report said.

KKR, Boeing, VietJet, and AV Air Finance did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
