Airline Stocks Drop on Report of Waning Demand -- WSJ

Shares of London-based International Consolidated Airlines, the parent company of British Airways, sank nearly 7% Monday after rival Virgin Atlantic said it saw signs of a slowdown in U.S. demand for transatlantic travel.

The news - alongside a broader pullback in consumer discretionary stocks - appeared to weigh on shares of U.S. airlines in Monday trading. United, American and Delta Airlines stock each fell 2% or more.
