French Banks Likely to Lead New Corporate Bond Issuance in 2025 -- Market Talk

1227 GMT - French banks are likely to be the largest issuers of new bonds in the European credit market in 2025, ING's Suvi Kosonen says in a note. French lenders BNP Paribas and Societe Generale are projected to be the most active suppliers, aiming to raise 6.5 billion euros ($7.0 billion) and 3.0 billion euros, respectively. Spanish bank Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria is expected to issue 2 billion euros in additional tier 1 $(AT1.AU)$ bonds and 1 billion euros in tier 2 bonds, Kosonen says. (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
